Joyce N. Aske, 83, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Joyce was born March 12, 1942, in Forest City, Iowa, to Selmer and Stella Carlson of Leland. She graduated from Forest City High School and Waldorf College. After working as a secretary in Minneapolis, Rochester, and Phoenix, she married Duane D. Aske on October 20, 1990.

She is survived by her husband, Duane; her step-daughter, Deborah (Kendall) Kruger; her grandchildren, Karah (Eric) Ringenberg and Kaleb (Ilka Lewis) Kruger; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Wyatt and Shepherd Ringenberg; her brother Luther Carlson; special niece Shari Vulgamott; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Eleanor Vulgamott, Frances Bienert, and Ruth Feldick.

Per Joyce's wishes, she was cremated. A private family burial will take place in Clear Lake at a later date.
