Cliff C. Waggoner age 57, of Ames, Iowa died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames of Leukemia. A visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wed. Jan. 25, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way in Ames, with a 10:00 a.m. funeral service Thursday, at Ascension Lutheran Church 7th and Kellogg Ave in Ames. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rock Island, IL.

Cliff was born April 30, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA; the son of Donald E and Joan E Waggoner. Cliff was employed for many years as Vice President of Operations with Multimedia Cablevision in Illinois. He was then transferred to Wichita Kansas and then Edmond Oklahoma before leaving the cable industry to run his own business. After three years he decided that he missed his calling in Cable. He was then hired on with Mediacom Cable in the Ames office as an Area of Operations Manager. He has been employed with Mediacom since.
He married his wife Donna Wagner in 1993 in Palos Heights, IL. He has been a Past President of Illinois Cable Association, a member of CT&C and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Ames. He enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with his family, taking road trips to different states and being around his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Donna Waggoner of Ames, daughters, Stephanie (Ron) Moon of FL and Ashley (Julian) Waggoner-Jones of Arizona and son Bryan (Stephanie) Waggoner of Illinois. His Mother Joan Waggoner of Illinois, sister Kim DuFloth of Iowa, dear friend, Dave Reyment of Illinois and Grandchildren, Max, Sydney, Jordan, Hannah, Joel and Landon along with many nieces and nephews.

I had the joy and pleasure of working with Cliff both at Multimedia and later Cox.

I will always remember his big smile, sunny disposition and perpetual kindness to all.

My heart goes out to Donna and Cliff's family. My best memory is Cliff could light up a room with his smile.

Cliff and I worked together for many years at Multimedia and then Cox until 12 years ago. He was a valued colleague and a good friend. I hope he had a fraction of the respect for me that I had for him.

Donna and children, I am so sorry about Cliff's passing. Know that he has been in my prayers and that you will continue to be in my thoughts.
