Gary and Carol,
We were so sorry to learn of your loss. This has been an exceptionally hard time for both you and Carol and both your families. We want you to know we are thinking of you during these difficult days. We hope that you feel the support of your friends and neighbors here in Harbour Point. We send our deepest condolences.
Karen has been a close friend of our family for many years. She became part of our "extended family" spending the holidays with us. Everyone loved her coleslaw!
Her work ethic mirrored the effort and time she took with friends. We spent hours together at the nursing home during Ann Himes' illness. Our friendly banter put a smile on Ann's face. She knew how to be a true friend.
My friend, we will miss you.
I worked for and with Karen for 9 years before retiring and remarrying in January 2006. I will miss her greatly for her quick wit and compassion. She was always a pleasure to be around. My memories of her will be cherished forever. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

I was hired by Karen in August of 1999 when I finished high school. I remeber the day I interviewed for the job we didn't talk much about the job but talked more about life and getting to know each other. I want to say thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance to add my contribution to the success of Black & Decker. You will be missed and when you see Lance Jr in heaven give him a hug and kiss for me, my wife and his sister Cassidy.
Karen was a driving force behind some of the successes of our Credit team at Stanley Black & Decker. She was a "go to" person because of her knowledge and he experiences in the company and elsewhere. She managed with a firm hand but also with compassion. She helped me persoanlly assimilate more easily into the Director role in 2007 by being a confidant, mentor and resource. Her wit will be missed and her presence will be felt here for a long time. It is never easy to part ways but all of us know someday we will meet again and that Karen was able to impact people in a special way. One of my most favorite quotes was "When I die I pray the world has been a better place since I passed this way". Karen truly made the world a better place and it is evident in the lives of the people she interacted with on a daily basis. We all will miss her.

My friendship with Karen was formed by the bonds of Roosevelt Elementary School. She was in the "other" class and the "other" Campfire group so we didn't know each other as well as we might have but we did manage to get into some trouble together during those Iowa State years. I haven't seen Karen for many years but she has taken a piece of my heart with her. She will be missed.
To her family and more recent friends let your memories sustain you.
I know Karen for last six years she was wonderful person to work with. She helped me with difficult situation. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be missed. Our memories of Karen will be in our hart forever. She is in good hands now. God bless her family.

The unexpected departure of one we love wears heavily on our hearts and minds - we pray you are able to find comfort in knowing that Karen now rests in the arms of God. Michael and I did not know Karen personally but we were able to see, through the many wonderful comments about her, that she was a loving and wonderful person.
