My dad, Mickey Thomas, couldn't be at the graveside services as he was in Canada. I am sending his condolences for him. Al was a great friend of my dad. Susan was my classmate. He will be greatly missed.

In the short time that I work at Riverside I became really close with Al. I loved seeing his smile and listening to his stories. He had such a great sense of humor and an amazing laugh. His love for his family was beautiful and I grew to love him as if he were my grandfather as well. He's in a better place now watching over everyone. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Al and miss him as well as him about Evelyn and the rest of Al's family. I wish the best to all of you.

Although I only knew Al for the short time he was at Riverside I loved him like he was my own family. He had a great sense of humor and was always a joy to be around. He loved Evelyn and his family very much and he always made it apparent. All of us at Riverside will miss him very much, hes always in our thoughts.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Al was a good man, great sense of humor, hard worker, loved his family, enjoyed many activities and had many good friends. He loved to visit, always had a big smile and made everyone feel so welcome. There is so much to remember, he will never be very far from those who think of him with love. He was a good scout!!
