Virginia M. Knoploh age 92, of Ames, Iowa passed away August 14 in Ames, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug 19 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way Ames, with a 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug 19 funeral service at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will take place at 3:30 pm. Monday, Aug 19, at Postville Cemetery in Postville, Iowa.

Virginia was born on May 2, 1927 in Sumner, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Melinda Frahm. She attended Sumner High School and later received her GED. She married Henry Knoploh on November 30, 1952 in Sumner, Iowa. She was a homemaker and fulltime mom to their son and daughter. The couple lived in Postville, Clear Lake, Boone and retiring to Ames. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Ames.

She is survived by her husband of 66 plus years Henry Knoploh, a son Greg (Jo), a daughter, Lana Stoelting, sisters, Darlys Varner, Mariann (Bill) Richards and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, brother Wilmer, Arnold, a sister Josephine.
