I was sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. No matter what our age and no matter what the age of our parents it is still so difficult to let them go.
Know that you are on my mind and close to my heart.
I am so deeply sorry to hear of Jan's passing. She was a wonderful Lady and I was blessed to know her. We had a wonderful time in 2012 when we both went to Paris with Iowa Public Television. It was so great to visit with her again. I enjoyed working as your Dad's secretary for many years and also being able to work with Jan. What great people they were. Blessings to your families, Allyson & Stacy. May God bring you comfort. The tribute video was wonderful. Sincerely, Elaine Mohr
This is mostly to Allyson - I am so sorry that I did not know your mother, but she must have passed along her sweet personality and traits to YOU and that tells me a lot about HER. I know you will miss her very much... Kathy Svec
I have very fond memories of your mother with Marv as neighbors in Ames. Jan smiled and spoke kind words when visiting with her outside along our properties. Marv was always welcoming encouraging me to contribute sticks and leaves to his fire he would construct in the backyard when leaf burning was permitted in the city. Jan’s life video is exceptional showing her active role and loving interaction with the family. Best wishes with love and prayers.
I have such fond memories of your mom. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was always so kind and her smile lit up every room she entered. She and Marv were such good friends of my parents. I will cherish the memories of both of them. Love and prayers for you and your families.
What a wonderful lady, mother, business partner for Marv, and a great example for all of us for how to live our lives. Wonderful friends who will be truly missed. We were blest to have known her. John Besh
We will never forget the kindness and help we received from the Walter family when our children were growing up. What a wonderful family. Jim and Mary Russell Our sincere condolences.
What sad news, my heartfelt thoughts to her family. I met her as her (once a week) mail carrier on Country Club, a beautiful person. When I ran across her delivering at her next home she recognized me even though it’d been awhile since seeing her. My sympathies to you all
