Our sister, Emily Christine Kincart, Age 36, died at her home in the company of our parents on October 15, 2021 due to natural causes.

Emily was born on November 6, 1983 at Ottumwa Regional Hospital to Jim and Mary Kincart. She was adored by her brother, Joel (48), and sister, Katie (47). After birth, Emily was diagnosed with atrial septal defect and was treated by the physicians at the University of Iowa Hospitals. While there, Emily was also diagnosed with a pericentric rearrangement of the 4th chromosome by Dr. Jeff Murray. This diagnosis led to the discovery of a family genetic disorder.

Emily was a resident of Bloomfield, Iowa until the age of 19. She enjoyed her time helping her mother coach cheerleading, participating in the YeGads Youth Choir at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, attending local sporting events, and swimming at the municipal pool or in her backyard. Most significantly, Emily enjoyed being surrounded by her extended family and a vast network of friends in the community. Emily attended Davis County High School in Bloomfield, Iowa from 1999 to 2004.

After completing high school in Davis County, Emily moved to Ames, IA to participate in the Mainstream Living Community. While in Ames, Emily attended Ames High School from 2004-2006. She considered this to be college as her parents and siblings had all attended Iowa State University. Emily loved being a resident of Ames. She was a Cyclone season ticket holder for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball. Emily enjoyed the kindness of the Cyclone athletes and community as much as she loved her seats in the Sukup End Zone and saying "hi" to Jamie Pollard and other members of the senior administration. Emily's biggest thrill was participating as a member of the Sparkles Cheer Squad. She was grateful for the collegiate co-eds who participated in the program and enjoyed the opportunity to cheer at Cyclone athletic events. Most of all, Emily loved seeing herself on the scoreboard.

Always comfortable with her Apple products, Emily embraced the use of Facebook. She actively followed the activities of her family and friends and improved her writing. Through technology, Emily was able to communicate with her network via email, text, and FaceTime. Family enjoyed her regular video calls.

Known by many as sweet, Emily is remembered by her family for her brutal honesty and spunk. Although born with a weak heart, Emily was the heart of her family and the connective tissue to an extended network of friends.

Emily is survived by her parents, brother and sister, as well as a sister-in-law (Melissa), brother-in-law (Tracy), nieces (Sydney, Bella, and Gabby), nephew (Cole) and many extended family members whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Martha Boatman and LaVerne and Louise Kincart.
A reception for friends and family will be held at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church on Friday, October 22 from 1:00-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to support the Sparkle Cheer Squad at Iowa State University through the Iowa State University Foundation at: www.foundation.iastate.edu/emilymemorial. or mailed to: Joel & Katie 4133 Cochrane Parkway. Ames, Iowa. 50014
