Jane Ann Rahto (68) of Bondurant, Iowa passed away on February 3, 2022, at Mercy West in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Jane Ann Cassill was born on March 27 1953, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Clyde Cassill and Maxine Duitscher. She was raised and educated in the area and later went on to receive her certification as an administrative assistant. She also took a second job as a waitress. Jane found that her compensation as a waitress was often higher than her regular day job. With that in mind, she left her full-time position to wait tables.
Later in Life Jane and Robert Wayne Rahto were united in marriage. Together, the two made their home in Bondurant, Iowa.
After an accident, Jane was paralyzed and became a quadriplegic. For the next few years, Robert would take care of Jane. He built prosthesis to make her life easier as well as so modifications to their home. Together they found ways to make sure that Jane would not have to be relocated to an assisted living facility and that they could stay together.
While at home, Jane loved watching home remodeling shows on HGTV as well as keeping up with the news, and of course spending time with her family.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Robert Rahto, and her mother, Maxine Cassill.
