Jennifer Lynn Bishop passed away peacefully at home in Fairhaven Massachusetts. Jennifer was born in1965 to Carol Lynne (MacArthur) Bishop and Stephen H. Bishop in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. In January of 1967 Jennifer and her family moved to Houston, Texas. There she along with her older brother attended Saint Marks pre and grammar school and Houston public school. Jenn participated in little league softball and activities involved in the Campfire Girls of America. In October of 1977 Jenn and her family moved Ames, Iowa enrolling into the Ames Public School system in 7th grade (Welch Jr. High). While attending Ames High School Jenn continued playing sports getting involved in Track and Cross Country as well as Basketball (6x6) and softball she also found time to stay involved with the Campfire Girls. After graduating from high school in 1983 Jenn enrolled at Grinnell College. While at Grinnell Jenn continued participating in Track and Cross Country and set several college and state records to this day. Jenn graduated in 1987 with a degree in Political Science. She put her degree to good use when she joined the Democratic Party as an organizer for the Mike Dukakis for President campaign. This took her all over the country. Following that campaign Jenn worked for a lobby in Washington, DC for a short time. Jenn returned to Iowa to work for and help run Bonnie Campbell for Attorney General of Iowa. During the campaign she worked closely with Chet Culver and Ed Campbell. For a brief time following the campaign she was made Bonnie Campbells administrative assistant. In 1992 she took what she learned on the campaign and decided to go off to Boston University and enroll in Law School. Jenn graduated in 1995. After graduating she met and married Robert Norton and moved to Wellesley, Mass where she joined G.W. and Wade Financial Planning group. After Jenn and Robert divorced, she moved to Fairhaven, Massachusetts. While there she met and married Ian Dobson and welcomed their son Calvin B Dobson on July 22, 2003. She left G.W. and Wade to set up her own Financial Planning business in New Bedford, Mass. This gave her the opportunity to get involved in Calvin's activities as well as the local communities' activities such as Roberts Elementary school, YMCA, boy scouts and city preservation projects. After Jenn and Ian divorced, she continued her service work in the community. Preceding her in death were her mother, Lynne, brother Philip, Grandparents, Mother-in law Sheila Dobson, her Uncle Douglas MacArthur and cousin Katelyn MacArthur, Great Uncle and Aunt Joe and Una Echternoch.
