Jennifer Lyn Jolley, 61, of Ames Iowa, arose from her earthly body on September 1, 2025, to join her Lord & savior, Jesus Christ.

Jennifer was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 5th, 1964, to Michelle (Borich) and Robert Jolley, Jr. They lived in Des Moines & Iowa City before settling in Cedar Rapids. Jennifer spent many wonderful times at the Jolley's cabin on Clark Lake in Nisswa, MN.
Jennifer graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in June 1982. She later graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 1986 earning a degree, with honors, in Criminal Justice. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. In July 1986 Jennifer became one of the first female Police Officers in Cedar Rapids. As a police officer, she was a public speaker for juvenal offenders from the 6th District Judicial Court. Jennifer also tutored criminal justice service students at Kirkwood.
From 1985 - 1989 she was employed at Target and Montgomery Wards as a store detective and private investigator. From 1988 - 1997 she was employed by Jack's Discount Store as their district asset protections training supervisor.
After leaving the Police Force, she continued to work in Loss Prevention as a Security Guard at various businesses.
She lived in Idaho for many years before returning to the Des Moines area. It was at this time, about 15 years ago, that she became disabled. She suffered a severe stroke and was paralyzed on her left side. Her life took a traumatic turn, and she lived the remainder of her life confined to a bed in a care center.
Jennifer is survived by her Mother and Stepfather, Michelle and Michael Connelly; her Father and Stepmother Robert, Jr. and Sandy Jolley. Aunt Lori Borich. Uncle and Aunt Ron and Bobbi Borich. Cousins, Steve (Tina) Larsen, Leslie Roland, Laurie (Don) Barnett, Mason Borich and Caylon (Brad) Schwiebert.
Jennifer was proceeded in death by her Grandparents, Nick Borich and Jean Lambert Borich Ballew; Robert Jolley, Sr; and Susan Milner Jolley. Aunt Joan (Jolley), Carlson and Uncle David Borich.

Jen, my heart aches everyday knowing you are no longer here, physically. I know you are with Jesus, our Savior! I will miss you everyday. I love you, your strength, your wit and your unbelievable memory. It was truly my honor to be with you, by your side as you took your last breath. I will carry that with me forever.
