Dennis (Denny) Macdonald, age 30, of Ames, died at his home. Services are being planned at a later time. Denny was born July 2, 1978 in Ames, the son of Heidi Dippold Hogan. He attended elementary school in Ames before moving to La Place LA. Denny graduated from East St. John High School. Denny then returned to Ames and attended DMACC and Iowa State University. Denny was a bus driver for CyRide for nine years.
Denny enjoyed Science Fiction Fantasy Games, reading, traveling with his grandparents including a trip to Germany in 1985, countless trips in the motor home and several visits to Seattle; his favorite place. Denny loved working with animals, he enjoyed volunteering at the St. John"s Humane Society in La Place, LA.
Denny is survived by his mother and step-father, Heidi and Tim Hogan of La Place LA, grandparents, Roland and Renate Dippold of Ames, aunt and uncle, Peggy and Tim Vos of Naperville, IL, and several relatives in Germany.
