I met Art when he joined the dept of VPP after I started my PhD program in 1970. He lived up to his role as asst scientist to all the dept's struggling grad students. His help with the use of the Wang 60 in those pre-desktop PC days was crucial to my completing my dissertation. I will be grateful for the light Art shed on my path all my life. My deepest sympathy to his family in this sad time. He will be sorely missed.
My deepest sympathies to each of you. I just learned of Art's death. You all belong to a wonderful family and I feel privileged to have known each of your parents and to have counted them as true friends.
I met Art at the College of Veterinary Medicine where he was fixture of information technology. Many years after his retirement I was delighted to meet him again as we both served on the Eagle Scout Committee. His warm and friendly demeanor will be missed.

When I started my job at Vet Med, I worked with Art on several projects. I enjoyed his sense of humor and appreciated his tenacity to do things right the first time. I think of him often when I'm working on new projects today.
