Catherine Ann (Cay) McDonald Broadie of Ames passed away at her home.
Cay will be cremated and no services are planned.
Cay was born June 28, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois to James and Bernadine (Wheelock) McDonald. Cay was the youngest of 4 children. Class of 1973 Ames High School.
Cay worked a few short term jobs and retired from Iowa State University (Friley Hall Food Services).
Some of Cays' likes were Red Roses, Reading, with a frequent visit to Ames Public Library, ISU Cyclones, Music (Blues and The Beatles).
Cay is survived by a nephew, James McDonald of Ocala, Florida, and his wife April.
Cay was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernadine McDonald, sister Mary Patricia McDonald, brothers Dick McDonald and Chris McDonald, son Timothy Broadie and longtime partner Lyle (Hutch) Hutchinson.
