Charlie Bell Williams, age 88, of Ames, IA died February 17, 2016 at Israel Family Hospice in Ames. Charlie Bell was born September 10, 1927, in Allentown, FL to R. D. and Ruby (Elliot) Purvis. Charlie Bell married George Williams on July 27, 1947 in Brewton, AL. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In 2009, George and Charlie Bell moved to Ames from Pensacola, FL. Charlie Bell is survived by three daughters; Jo Ann (Kenneth) Lauter of Pensacola, FL, Beverly (William) Crumpton of Ames, Janice Andrus of Ames, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Charlie Bell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2010 and two siblings. A private family graveside service at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
