Dear Tuttle Family: I did not know Chris, personally. His father, Terry, was a few years ahead of me at Ames High School. However, from the first time my mother insisted that we had to go to the Christmas Eve Mass at St. Cecilia's at which Chris would be singing, and we had to be there early, I have always felt that it wasn't Christmas until I was back in Ames, sitting in a pew at St. Cecilia's, after Communion and then Chris Tuttle stepped up to the microphone. This Christmas I will be back in Ames, sitting in a pew at St. Cecilia's, but it will be different. I will have to remember his wonderful rendition of Oh Holy Night. Dear Karen, Jenny, and Emily,
We were so sad to hear of Chris's death. He brought so much joy and laughter to others. We haven't seen him much since high school days but I'll never forget how great he was in Pirates of Penzance. Sara so enjoyed performing with him. It was a highlight for our family.
We are so thankful for the times we had with Chris.

Since Chris's passing. I have learned so much more about him through the memories of so many others that were shared within me after passing along the terrible news. I will never meet someone like him even again bevsusn he was that special, unique and the rarest one of a kind whom you'll ever know. Not only did he enrich my life by being part of it, he made the world a brighter place to live on. He has touched so many lives that I'm truly humble and one of the most fortunate people to have been introduced to him and ultimately.call him my friend. I will miss you, Christopher Terrance Tuttle and I while I will never be the same without you here, I was never the same beginning in the day that I met you. You were that bright of a light in the world. It was the utmost pleasure having had you in my life and thank you for the bazillions of laughs over and over again till my sides would hurt. Thanks for being you, Chris. I miss you so much.
