I will always remember Dean for his smile and the way he accepted me into his life. Dean and Maxine are "Mom and Dad" to me because Jane is like my sister. There was always a hug, and good times when they visited Jane in Yuma, AZ. I am so happy that Jane was with you, sad for all of us left here. Save a card game for me! Love you!
Mac and I became friends with Dean when we first moved to Ames abut 47 years ago. The friendship began with his offers of help to us and lasted these many years because of his fine character. Mac and Al loved to tease him and each other, and they made a fine trio of friends. He truly made the world a little better for his family and his friends.
Dad I miss you very much but at the same time happy for you to have your health back and your spirit free. I hope you have thrown your fishing line in the water along side Leonard and Grant.
