Russell D Jacobs
Don was Road Design Engineer and my boss when I went to work at the Iowa Highway Commission on Jan 3, 1955. He was a skilled engineer and people manager and was well recognized by friends and associates. I consider myself fortunate to have known Don as a friend for all these years. Don was sure you knew the difference between Scotch being the stuff you drink and Scottish being what you were if you were lucky enough to have ancestors from Scotland; and he did on occasion quote some Robert Service poetry. I send heartfelt condolences to Nancy and to all of Don's family and to others of his many close friends.
