I met Donna up at Bickford. Always a pleasure to visit with and a smile that could light up a room! Always impeccably dressed for dinner each time I happened to be at Bickford. What a fine lady she was! My condolences to her family and all who loved her.
Loren, so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was blessed with a full life of love of family. My prayers are with you and yours. May your hearts be filled with peace and comfort.
Donna was my second mother, while she and Cliff hired me as their babysitter for Loren and Kevin, who was a newborn. Little did any of us know, I would be loved and guided as they included me in their family functions. Donna taught me how to set a formal table, how to entertain at parties, sew, but most of all, how to receive love, as they all went through many years of life. Many vacations they took me on, not expecting me to babysit, but to have fun. When Cliff was transferred to Iowa, I was crushed beyond words. They offered me a placed to live in their home, but being still in high school and a minor, I had to learn how to live without them, which wasn't easy then or now! Donna, thank you for all you gave me, and so many others! I know you are now whole again and will be watching over a lot of people!!! Boys, I love you both so much, please keep in touch. If I'm not chosen to be on a jury, Monday, I will be on my way and see you guys in time for the funeral service. ((Hugs))
