To Marge and the Hunziker Family, There is so much good we could say about Erb and so many happy memories. I remember meeting him as a young girl as my Dad, Merle, would deliver sparkling, clean white tablecloths from the Ames Laundry to Erb & Marge for their restaurant. Later, I helped Dad study for his real estate license
so he could be the first one to sell homes for H & F Realty. Dad's motto was "I Like to Work" and he loved working for Erb and socializing with Erb - on the golf course, Clear Lake, Country Club, Card games, Elks Club etc, etc. I respected and loved Erb and Marge so much, they were like a second set of parents to me! I was always proud to call him "my friend\

You were blessed to have a husband, father, grandfather like Erb. He was and still is a respected man in Ames and the surrounding area. I am glad our paths crossed and had the opporunity to know him. Dear Marge and boys - I worked for Erb at Hunziker and Furman in the 1970's and always enjoyed his sense of humor and admired his work ethic. When I looked at his picture, it seemed just like yesterday that I worked there. My sincere sympathy to all of you.

Words can't describe the sorrow I am feeling for you and yours right now. I remember meeting your parents during Homecoming at Simpson in 1976, as you proudly introduced me as "your son".
