I am so sorry for your loss. Gay had such an enormous impact on the mechanical engineering department (and others) at ISU, with both students and faculty. He was always the person who would help out, and always demonstrated the utmost patience while doing so. I owe much of my current career path to Gay's help, and I am certainly not unique. We will miss him, but I'll always think of him as one of my strongest mentors.
So sorry for your loss. Your Mom and Dad were the best neighbors we ever had.
