I am so very sorry for your loss. I am sorry I was not able to make it to the services. I appreciate the telephone call to let me know and when the services were. I will always remember how Gordy had George marching to his tune. Gordy was large and in charge. Please let Ann know I am thinking of her and the rest of the family. Thank you for sharing him with us. I enjoyed hearing how it was "when he was in practice".
As a neighbor on Greeensboro Circle in Ames, he was a great friend, interested in everything and a great conversationalist. He and Ann were wonderful hosts. George devoted so much of his later years and energy to doing anything possible to care his dear Ann.
George was a good friend and co-worker. Always good for a laugh. He had the ability to see humor even in times of stress at work and in life. Sue and I will miss George. I know he wasn't happy with his health in recent months and years as it certainly cramped "his style." Our thoughts and prayers are with Ann and her struggles as well. Doug and Sue Swanson

My wife, Jean, and I connected with Ann and George though our friendship with Amy. We visited their home in Naples, Florida and they were always gracious and welcoming. We truly value the times we spent together.

Being farm kids we didn't have a sense of pet care, so George, being a vetinarian, came with Amy & Ann to our home in Ames and sheered our dog, Wrigley, so he'd be cool in the summer.
