Dear Pugh Family:
I'm sorry to hear so late of your loss last year. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Warm Regards.
Mrs. Pugh, I have known you and Dr. Pugh through your produce stand at the North Grand Farmers Market (I often asked for green tomatoes), and early on I realized that Dr. Pugh was there not so much to sell produce as to engage passersby and customers in lively conversation. I regularly disagreed with Dr. Pugh (which I suspect he rather enjoyed!), but always looked forward to our discussions. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your life's partner.
I hsve known George since he first arrived in Ames in 1961 to join the staff of the NADL, and have counted him as a friend ever since. I am very sorry for his loss.
Jeannette. I was so sorry to read in the paper today of George's death. I was not aware that he had cancer, but had missed seeing him around. I did not know George well, but did enjoy him very much. I hope your family and friends will be of great support to you at this time of need. Cliff Smith, your neighbor
