My condolences to Harold's family.He hired me to manage a hog feeding operation on a farm he owned in Wayne county in the early 80s.Harold was always fair and great to work for.He was a good man.

My sympathy to the family. My ex worked at Evert's in the late 1960's and 1970's, so it's been a long time since I saw him. I was sad to notice his obit in the Des Moines Register today. H often stopped in the shop to see how things were going and "borrow" a handful of nuts from the candy store. I never heard him say a cuss word harsher than "oh crumb". He and Jo and you kids were around for shop get-togethers. My prayers are with you.
