Harvey John Larson (79) passed away on July 7, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held on July 22, 2023, at Bethesda Lutheran Church (1517 Northwestern Ave, Ames, IA 50010) at 1:00 p.m. Online condolences can be made to: www.grandonfuneralandcremationcare.com Harvey Larson was born on September 20, 1943, to James Larson and Theresa Ihle, in Ames, Iowa. He was a graduate with the class of 1961 from Ames High School. Later in life, Harvey married Patricia Adams. The two would make a home and build their life together. They would later relocate to Arkansas, and Patricia would eventually pass away in 2007. Harvey spent many years driving a truck for various outfits, some during his time in Arkansas. After his retirement, Harvey would move back to Ames where he would take up residence at the Roy Key apartments. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Theresa Larson; his wife, Patricia; their daughter, Theresa; two brothers and two sisters. Harvey is survived by a son, a granddaughter, a grandson and two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Paul (Jane), Ron, Wayne (Mary Jo) Keith, and sister Karen. Also by many family friends who knew and loved him.
