Howard, my mothers cousin, was a great and brilliant man who I met a several times. Last time was in june 2018 when me and my son Magnus visited in Ames, Denison and Odebolt. I am glad I have his
books and poems in our home. He will be remembered and missed as long as I live. If Cynthia , Lynette or Malcolm read this it would
be nice to have your email so we can keep contact.

I have only known Howard and Pat for a little while through attending First Baptist Church and sharing time with them in Sunday School and church social time. I have come to know them both as very thoughtful and loving people. I am so grateful for Howard’s leadership in Sunday School and his very thoughtful approach to knowledge, learning, embracing new ideas, and his interest in his own growth and leading others to grow. His open leadership spirit resonated with me and has been an example and an encouragement to me. I appreciate him and will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Pat, and with the family.
