Jared was my son John Rogers best friend from first grade on! I'm Jimmy Rogers abd I was blessed to watch Jared and John grow up together and eventually both work with me at Story Construction. They were literally the boys the movie \"Stand By Me\" was written from. I am so lucky I had a chance to train him at work! Jared gave a 110% to everything he did. He progressed quickly in his career to operator forman and was starting to take on superintendent roll before leaving Story Construction. Jared was much more intelligent than he gave himself credit for! He was a craftsman in evry skill he learned! I know it is hard for your family but you left us all with the best part of you Jared,the memories of you life with all of us! You left no bad memories Jared!Thank you for being you Jared! Jared's dad, Jerry and I were very good friends and were inseparable from childhood to adulthood. Around 1983, Jerry, Carol and young Jared came to our house for an evening of fun. I will never forget how much fun we had with little Jared and his inherent orneriness, no doubt inherited from his dad. Unfortunately, I didn't get to know Jered as he grew, as Vickie and I moved away from Ames shortly after, and lost track of Jerry, Carol and Jered. My father Jared taught me a lot through out our years together. Some about roofing, construction, working on our cars and maintaining heavy equipment but I think the most important things Iv been taught is about life itself. About loving, hating, forgiving and honor. We would spend many night talking about such things and my mind wonders to thoughs conversations quite often. I love you dad
