Jeff Seaton's Obituary
Jeff Seaton, age 60, of Sioux Falls, SD (formerly of Ames, IA) died at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on March 31, 2023. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa with a 1:00 p.m. graveside service on Thursday, April 6, at Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames, Iowa. Jeff was born June 14, 1962, in Ames, Iowa to loving parents Dr. Vaughn and Clara Seaton. He grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1980. Jeff then graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor's in Marketing. He worked with KASI Radio in Ames until he moved to Sioux Falls, SD where he has been with Results Radio's as a Senior Marketing Strategist for the last 15 years. Jeff married Gina McCutchan in 1995 and together they welcomed their daughter Sophie into the world in 2001. Sophie was the absolute apple of Jeff's eye and he was so very proud of her. Jeff was an avid fan of ISU Football, Basketball, and of course, The Kansas City Chiefs. Jeff played a great round of golf and enjoyed dropping a line into the water from time to time. His favorite trips were the ones he took golfing/fishing up north with "The Boys" every other year. He remained close with many good friends from way back, all of whom he loved so much. Jeff loved to chew the fat with them whenever he could. He never met a pizza he didn't like, and he had a particular affinity for classic rock, especially Aerosmith and The Stones. Jeff is survived by his wife, Gina, his daughter, Sophie, his dad, Vaughn and his brother, Greg (Sheri) Seaton. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Clara Seaton, and step-son Cassidy James Powell. Jeff wanted everyone to remember his life motto: Life Is Just A Bowl Full Of Cherries.
