We extend our condolences to the John Bath family. John's optimism, warmth, caring and friendly spirit will be long remembered. He was a psychology department colleague who made me (Norm Scott) feel very welcome and appreciated many decades ago when I joined ISU. His generosity in creating the John A. Bath Graduate Fellowship is, as I expressed last evening to Betsy, greatly valued and appreciated by the current faculty and graduate students. It is a very fitting tribute to an exemplary and caring professor.

We are thinking of our beloved Uncle John this Memorial weekend - how fitting a time to pay tribute to his life. We are feeling nothing but gratitude that we were all together eight months ago to celebrate him and to be able to be with Karen - never ever thinking it would be our last time with them. Uncle John was such a gift to our family and sharing that weekend in September was so special for everyone.

One of my first memories wAs waving to Karen from across the street, playing hide and seek in Gary's room, cookies in the kitchen and Dr Bath putting blocks on my tricycle pedals! I am so sorry I was unaware of Karen's passing here in Baltimore as well! Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers and I feel so blessed for having known your family!

It was so great to be able to talk to Uncle John at his 100th. We were able to spend some great time together talking about the family. I have shared that weekend with many and have a photo of Uncle John/family on my PDA to remind me of those fond memories. You are all in my prayers. Love Mark
