Marjean, you wrote a beautiful tribute for John. John seemed quiet and spoke softly, but when you spiked his interest he could speak for a while. I did enjoy his poetry. I’m glad to have known him my whole like. Love you you Marjean as you process the loss of your dear husband.
I remember going to Nevada and Ames to visit with Aunt Marge and Uncle Harold. I enjoyed talking with John and Marjean. John loved to tell me about the family history (Landsberg) and read his poems out loud. We shared our Christian faith also. They got married at a church that had (I think) two lions out front. My niece Lauri and I liked to climb up on them and sit. It was so much fun!!
