Joyce E. Davis, 78, passed away on July 20, 2023, at Bethany Life in Story City, Iowa. A public visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, starting at 9:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 2900 Hoover Ave., Ames, IA 50010, with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Online condolences can be made to www.grandonfuneralandcremationcare.com. Funeral Service Live Stream Link : www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtIJA29hob8 Joyce Elizabeth Davis was born to Edmund and Agnes (Ricke) Hoefer on February 24, 1945, in Webster City, Iowa. She graduated from South Hamilton High School in 1963. Joyce married Robert Davis in Webster City, Iowa on June 15, 1968. They had three children; Michelle (William) Jones, Stephanie (Jeff) Nigh and Ryan (Joni Pallos) Davis. She is survived by her husband, her three children, three granddaughters, Nicole Jones, Kate Nigh and Alexa Pallos; three grandsons, Aidan Nigh, Michael Jones and Carson Davis, and one brother, Phil (Terry) Hoefer of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Hoefer. Memorial donations may be made to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and Bethany Life.
