We just found out about Katy's passing. We want to offer our condolences to Ernie and the family. We got to meet Katy and Ernie several years ago while visiting my sister Kathy in Madrid. Katy and Ernie lived next door to my sister. While visiting with them, Katy told their story of Iowa and California. Katy and Ernie had a good life as described by Katy. Katy was also interesting to be around. I enjoyed our conversations whenever they happened. Katy had a good life it would seem. We are thankful that we could be a small part of it.
