Kevin Jude Tehan's Obituary
Kevin Tehan, 58, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away after a long illness on May 7, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 28th, from 6 - 10 p.m. at the Ames Elks Lodge #1626, 522 Douglas Avenue, Ames, IA. Kevin Jude Tehan was born on November 26, 1962 in Fort Knox, Kentucky and was blessed to James and Margaret (Kerins) Tehan. He was an alumni of St. Vincent De Paul and Newport Catholic in Newport, Kentucky and after graduation, enlisted in the Army on January 25, 1983. Kevin had a son, Michael, who is in the U.S. Navy and is married to daughter-in-law, Miranda. They gave Kevin two beautiful grandchildren, Mason & Hailey. Kevin was a huge movie buff and had a knack for being able to name actors, years the movies were filmed and loved to recite lines from whichever film you tried to stump him with. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and just an all-around nice guy. He would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. His sense of humor and kindness will be dearly missed. Left to cherish Kevin's memory are his son, Michael (Miranda) Straight; grandchildren, Mason and Hailey Straight; and sister, Jill (Larry) Goodale.
