Norman Scott
Larry was a very special, talented, and caring person and tireless mentor-leader of Ames Golden K Kiwanis. His leadership and contributions to Golden K were monumental, and were accomplished with dedication, devotion, and unwavering commitment to the Kiwanis ideal of making the world a better place, one child and one community at a time. I worked closely with him in the Sawyer School reader-listener program and have admiration for the skill, sensitivity, patience and caring he exemplified when reading with the first graders we jointly served.
He approached life with optimism, enthusiasm, patience, and grace. My life has been enriched by association with Larry, and I miss him. He is remembered fondly, with respect, and with gratitude for a life well-lived in service to others.
