Lezlie F. Claude's Obituary
Lezlie Faye Claude, 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. A gathering of friends and family will be from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. Sunday October 19, 2014 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way. A celebration of life funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday October 20, 2014 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will take place at Ames Municipal Cemetery following the service. Lezlie was born October 29, 1952 to Philip and Winona Moe in Ames. She graduated from Roland-Story High School. Lezlie worked 39 years at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Environmental Services. Lezlie enjoyed traveling to Texas, going to rock & gem shows as well as craft shows. She loved gardening and especially growing African Violets and Orchids. She was a fan of the San Diego Chargers and NASCAR driver, Bobby Labonte. She found great joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren. She spent a lot of time playing games and doing puzzles with her grandchildren. Lezlie is survived by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Angela Claude and Josh Samuelson; 2 grandchildren, Tabitha and Liliana Samuelson; her mother, Winona Moe; 2 brothers, Darren Moe and Kevin Moe; a sister, Coezette and Larry Berg; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Steffa and Dolores and Orvy Hauge. She is preceded in death by her father, father- in- law, and mother- in- law. Memorials may be directed to the Ames or Story County Animal Shelter or an Animal Shelter of your choice.
