Marjorie Mae (Zenger) Uitermarkt (86), of Ames, Iowa, passed away on March 14, 2023. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Grandon Funeral & Cremation Care (414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa.) Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard, Iowa (418 S Wisconsin St, Hubbard, IA 50122). Online condolences may be directed to: www.grandonfuneralandcremationcare.com Marjorie Zenger was born on February 3, 1937, in rural Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Leroy and Doris (Huston) Zenger. She attended Iowa Falls High School and graduated with the class of 1955. After her primary education, she attended Ellsworth Jr. College, graduating with the class of 1957. Marge was an avid reader. She cherished her time with her friends and family. She was a member of the United Church of Christ. Left to cherish Marge's memory is her, son Phil, grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Johnathan, Christopher, and Brandon; great-grandchildren: Tyler, William, Grayson, Bryce, Mia, and Morgan. Sister in-law Mary Ann Mulford Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Doris, her husband John and daughter Laura. Memorial donations may be made to: United Church of Christ.
