I was honored to know Pat and his family in both Marshalltown and Ames. What an AWESOME FAMILY! Pat lived a VERY full and exciting life. His love of his family was very evident! My condolences go out to his family in the time ahead-Best wishes for Peace~
Mary, I will always remember Pat being a part of the lifelong learning program in Ames and giving a presentation about his cars and the experiences the two of you had. He even brought along one of the cars for participates to have a close up look.

My condolences to the family of Patrick Brooks.Mr. Brooks was my history teacher at Mckinstry junior high school in Waterloo. I remember so well.He made learning so fun. We played chess and discussed many things including going on a safari someday.He inspired myself and another of his students to go to law school.A great person that I have many fond memories of. So suprised and sad to open the Des Moines Register this evening and see Pat's smiling face in the obituaries. He was the City Attorney in Marshalltown while I was the HR Director. I had great respect for him, plus considered him a good friend. So very sorry for your loss. RIP Pat.
The Hawkeye Buick Chapter has lost a good friend in Pat Brooks. In addition to Pat and Mary's travels with thier Buick Wagon, Pat was one of the original members of the Hawkeye Buick Chapter started in September 1975. Pat served has Sec/Treasurer 1975 -1980. He was Director of the Hawkeye Chapter from 1999 -2001, before becoming President of the Buick Club of America 2003 - 2005. Pat was always willing to talk Buick's.
