I am one of the many that was blessed to be a "basement angel" at the O'Berry household (1999-2000)and although I was there long after the O'Berry children left home, I was welcomed as part of the family.
While there are many wonderful words that could describe Phil, a few I think of first are: genuninely kind, smart, generous, warm hugs, funny and gentle.
I remember lounging in the study with Phil and Mukki on occasion and he would often have a story to share or a joke to tell. I also remember if I came upstairs from the basement late at night there on the kitchen table would be his placemat, cereal bowl and spoon waiting for the day ahead.
I feel so blessed to have been touched by the life and ways of Phil O'Berry - a wonderful example you were to humankind. You have left a legacy to be proud of and extensive friends and family whose lives will never be the same after having known and loved you. Until we meet again...
