Anna Jinja Mather (Magnusson)
I was so saddened to hear about Roger's passing. I'll always remember our connection over opera – a shared love that blossomed when I first volunteered at KHOI and pitched for his show. He understood the power of music, believing, as Debasish Mridha said, that “Music is the language of the soul, the voice of the heart, and a message from the eternity.” Roger's enthusiasm was contagious. He spoke so fondly of Kay, and I fondly remember buying one of her dresses at a KHOI benefit garage sale. My thoughts are with Kay, his family, our KHOI family, and our entire community.
