Jane Runneals
I heard of Simone's passing at the UUFA service this morning. My goodness she lived a long and fascinating life. We were her Nevada neighbors and we would enjoy talking about plants together. One time I remember especially well is when she rang our doorbell to discuss that it seems our young son of around age 5 had been trying to remove the knots from the wooden fence between our homes. I told her I'd address this with him. Only after she left did I realize he was hiding under the table from her that was on our porch. He'd heard the whole conversation! I always remember that and he never did that again. I'm pretty sure all was forgiven when she came out and bought a rock or old newspaper from our budding entrepreneur when he set up his table on our sidewalk!
Your Mom was a lovely woman, Amber. Our condolences to you and your family.
