I didn't know Steve well. I met him around 1980. He was playing in a band with my boyfriend at the time.

Steve was my "boyfriend" in 8th grade at Central Jr. High. (To the extent that we had boyfriends. I'm not even sure whether he thought he was my boyfriend!) I always thought he was handsome, and he always said hi to me in the halls at Ames High. I did not know him well, but reading his obituary, I could picture him exactly the way he was described. I am so very sorry for your loss. I would like to come to the burial but am not sure whether I can make it. I am working that day, and might not be able to get away.
