Sorry to hear of Ted"s passing. I met him fifteenth year's ago while mowing the lawn next to his cabin on lake Miltona. He asked me if I'd be interested taking care of there place to. Ted and Marilyn have been friends ever since and I want to thank you for being so kind and thoughtful Uber the years. We consider you family and will miss our conversations. Maryln hang in there. My sympathies to Ted's family. We became friends many years ago and he bought a rental home through me. We had some great conversations. I haven't seen Ted for a long time and was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. I am a few years younger than Ted and have moved from Ames to Okoboji. We lost a great guy. Marilyn and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have not seen Ted for a long time, but I have always thought of him as a friend. Anytime I would run into him, even after not seeing him for awhile, he was always like a good friend. He wanted to know how I was and what was happening in my life. I first met Ted, years ago, when his daughter Mel, worked for me. Then several years later, I rented a house from Ted. I always enjoyed paying the rent, because I would go to his office at WOI and get to listen to his great stories. After they moved to Minnesota, he would always invite us to stop and see them when we were in Minnesota. Sadly, we never did visit him there, although I did run into him once at a gas station in Alexandria. My condolences to Marilyn and family and especially to Mel. Jerry Alexander
Marilyn, Your friends from the Wednesday night French group at Jessie"s house send caring thoughts to you at this time. We have fond memories of your sharing the planning of your wedding (dress fabric from FRANCE!) with us. Jessie is still our host on Wednesday night when life gets back to normal. She celebrated her 93 rd birthday in July but she doesn't do internet so asked me to send condolences. , your friend, Betty Barton

My condolences to all family...reading Ted's obituary explains so much about his personality....what an interesting character. I had the pleasure of meeting Ted thru Jeff and Juli and ran into Ted in years gone by so many times and had such pleasurable conversations. He always had a friendly smile and genuine concern about what was going on in my life....such memories he has left for all of you to treasure. So sorry for your loss.
