I just saw this. I worked for Dr. von Godany at the ISU Parks Library in the early 1980's. I respected her knowledge and ability and she encouraged me in my work and study. I left ISU a long time ago and my memory of her is one of the good things I took with me.
I first met your mother when she started coming to ST. Cecilia's church I loved talking to her she was very interesting , Later on when she found it hard to walk, I would help into church..

I have visited Ursula about once a month on Sundays over probably the past ten years. I'm from St. Cecilia parish and always enjoyed talking to Ursula in earlier days ,and just sitting with her in later days. Her obituary gave the history of this beautiful woman. And, I noticed Ilona(Michael) Avraamides are listed with the survivors. I'm wondering if the Avraamides ever lived on Ferndale Avenue in Ames? I live on Ferndale Ave and we had Avraamides living about 5 houses down from us years ago. I cannot be at her Visitation, but want to extend my sympathy to her family. Catherine Burns
