I was saddened to hear of Verna's passing. The Scandrett family are special people. Gaylord and Verna were good friends of my parents and I was a fortunate benefactor of that relationship. Sincere condolences, prayers, and fond memories to the Scandrett family.
When I lived on Village Drive my children loved to go to Verna's house to help her make birthday cakes. We had some great birthday cakes and a wedding cake made by her also. She was a great neighbor and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
