Vicky (Burris) Thorp, age 69, of Ames passed away peacefully on December 27th at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A Celebration of Life visitation with family will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Gr Read Obituary

I am so saddened to hear about the loss of your wife, Vicky. My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.
Ron and family. I am so sorry for your unexpected loss. I so enjoyed having neighbors like you all in Gilbert. Vicky was always a bright light to all of us . With her smile and quick laugh, she always added so much to our get togethers and fun times. Please know she and your family are in my prayers.
vicky was my mentor at Mcfarland and taught me so much. She is a great and lovely person. Always pleasant,always kind, and always beautiful. I will remember her always. We will miss her and always love her.

TO MY MENTOR AT MCF. YOU HAVE BEEN ONE GUTSY LADY WORKING ALL THESE YRS WHEN YOUR HEALTH WAS GIVING YOU A CONSTANT BATTLE. I SOO ADMIRED YOU FOR THAT FORTITUDE AND COMING TO WORK DAY AFTER DAY NO MATTER HOW YOU FELT.
I SEND MUCH SYMPATHY TO YOUR FAMILY. LIFE SOMETIMES JUST DOES NOT SEEM FAIR. TO THOSE THREE LOVELY GRANDCHILDREN. I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU ADORED THEM. WE SHARED MANY A MEMORY ABOUT THEM.
