Violet J. Shannon's Obituary
Violet Jeanette Shannon age 86, died Sunday March 14, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House after a battle with Alzheimer's. Violet was born December 16,1923 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Michael and Catherina (Joens) Grimmer. She married Virgil Joseph Shannon June 28, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa. She is survived by her children Robert (Elaine) Shannon of La Canada, CA, Patricia (Tom) Horton of Ames and Thomas (Gina) Shannon of DeKalb, IL, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Michael. Memorials may be directed to your local Alzheimer's Chapter.
