I am so sorry for your loss. I understand how difficult it is when a loved one passes away. I find Acts 24:15 to be comforting because it promises a hope for the future. Please accept my sincere condolences. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the privilege to serve as a conference officer of United Methodist Women under Virginia's leadership. Oddly enough, I think of her every time I choose apples at the grocery, for she enthusiastically introduced me to the then-new varieties called Gala and Braeburn. I also recall how proud she was of the feeding program she participated in at her church in Ames. May she rest in peace in the special dwelling God has prepared for her.
I met Virginia while I was on the SOCM team for Conference UMW> She was such a caring and well-organized person! My sincerest sympathies to her family. Grace and Peace t5o all of you.
To the Schoeneman family,
Virginia was the guidance counselor to most if not all 11 Kresses who attended Maxwell High School. We enjoyed her warmth and her intelligence. On behalf of our entire family I want to express our deepest sympathy at your loss.

Virginia and I were members of the same Questers group, Neta Snook, for a number of years in Ames. I always enjoyed her programs that she presented to our group. I remember one that she gave about old recipes and cookbooks. Virginia had a nice collection of old cookbooks.
At one of our auctions a number of years ago I purchased a small Christmas cactus that Virginia had started and donated to the auction. I think of her especially when its pink blooms are weighing down the large stems, showing its beautiful splendar during the holidays.
I was so sorry to read about her death in the Ames paper.
