Mr. Brentnall was a very positive principal at Whittier Elementary for me and our entire school. When one of our teachers was ill; he was our teacher. Without realizing it at the time, Mr. Brentnall was also a positive role model for those of us who pursued teaching as our profession. Peace to Mr. Brentnall and to his loving family. Though I did not get to spend a lot of time with Dale, I always came away from our visits with good feelings and guidance. He had a definite influence on my life and I was a better person having known him. I am sure that he was well received into the afterlife.
I will never forget you, Mr. Brentnall. I remember my last meal before I left Ames after college was in your back yard with you grilling for my family and I. You and Irene, Dean, LuAnn and Barb are and always will be special to me! You made a tremendous difference in your life!!! God Bless you all!
