So sorry to read of Rev Gjerde's passing. I came to know Wayne as he was appointed to Beaman UMC, the church where I grew up. One great memory that I have of Wayne is that he came to Beaman , basically the day my Dad passed. Even though he had just met us, he did tremendous and professional job officiating at my Dad's service. Peace to his family. I met him again as he and Helen retired to Ames.
