Wayne Arthur Stensland age 77 of Kelley, Iowa died peacefully July 4, 2014 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, after a brief battle with cancer. A gathering of friends and family will be 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Beth Read Obituary
I was Wayne's Secretary for several years when he was Director of Research Equipment Program. He was a wonderful boss and I watched him help so many people and answer so many questions for people working on research projects at ISU. We also enjoyed Wayne & Ann hosting fried fish dinners at their home, with Wayne frying up Walleye in the garage! Many blessings to Ann and the family.
Brother, We went our separate ways, and our paths crossed infrequently over the years. I was always a bit intimidated by your intelligence, but always had tremendous respect for you and your family, and as a brother. We were never much with words, but I know you felt the love I had, and still have for you. I'll miss you!
God is with you and you are with God! You are a loving and wonderful person, and life shall have no end!We will keep you forever in our prayers!

Dad,you and I had a lot of love for the same things.You were my garden buddy and I learned so many things from you.We could always count on your help when needed. We remember Wayne as a very independent guy and yet we had very interesting with him. When we were on one of most recent visits to Iowa we sat in the side yard with Wayne and Ann, on a cool evening with a wood fire going, drinking wine and just talking about a little bit of everything. It was a wonderful evening that we will always remember. Wayne always had a great garden and his vegetables were really good. He also liked old cars and that was tops, in our book. We loved Wayne and will miss him. He was a good guy.
Wayne and I were classmates, friends, and bro's for 63 years, and I will miss him a lot. Wish we could have been closer by geography, but better yet we were close in heart. Godspeed to a wonderful person. Karla's and my love to Ann, Linda, Julie, and Scott. Love your all. Buddy and Karla Fox
