Sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was one of my favorite teachers. He also purchased a vehicle from me when our family was in the car business. I always enjoyed talking with him when he came in for service work. A wonderful man.

I was sad to hear of Bill's passing. In 1973, he was my basketball coach and teacher and a favorite of mine in both roles. I remember him as an excellent person with a great demeanor and a dry and witty sense of humor. His coaching style was always very positive and our entire team loved playing for him. He was definitely one of the good guys.

Going back 54 years ago with fond memories of Bill and Winnie Lee... We were moving to Ames, needing to rent a home and through the kindness and helpfulness of Bill and Winnie Lee were able to rent a house that they were renting. We spent our working years together in the Ames Schools and on the paint crew. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I just heard today that Bill passed away. He was a tremendous man. Just the highest integrity and humanity. I enjoyed it so much when he and Dale Geise and another friend would come to Iowa City to watch Prime Time and chat with me.
His son Mike was one of my closest friends growing up. My condolences to Winnie and all the family. Please let us know if you have a funeral.
